PolarPro developed the robust Defender lens cap specifically for photojournalists, nature and travel photographers. The name Defender says it all: with this extremely strong and handy lens cap your precious professional (zoom) lenses are protected while being used in rough conditions. The strong Defender lens cover is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic and a flexible elastomer and is easy to attach and remove. The time of falling, breaking and losing hard plastic lens caps is definitely over! Rock solid lens cap for professional lenses PoalrPro has developed the Defender lens cap as an all-round useful lens cap for tough conditions. As a professional, you have to be able to trust your gear, and the Defender protects the front lens of your precious (zoom) lens against moisture, dirt and bumps. With its impact-resistant ABS plastic base, you can be sure that your front lens won't be scratched or damaged when your gear is bumped. The slightly flexible elastomer collar makes attaching this solid lens cap to the front of your lens very easy. The Polarpro Defender lens cap is available in lens sizes from 55 to 114mm, which means that for every lens there is a Defender available: from standard and wide-angle lenses to professional telephoto lenses.

    Literally just writing this for the Sony 24mm GM 1.4 lens which has a filter diameter of 67mm. However when measured across the lens the width is closer to 73/74mm, as you can see in the photos it fits snug but I’d rather that than it be falling off as this is an expensive lens. Happy with the purchase, and this will definitely be replacing the lens cap that comes with Sony cameras. It’s rugged and may take more time to take off and put on but there’s no comparison when it comes to protection.
